Loss of motivation can be very detrimental. Whether you’re self-employed, a freelancer, a part-time student, or just someone who is able to manage his own working hours, I’m sure you’ll realize that one of the toughest challenges is ironically, your independence.
That’s because you have no one to watch over you, and no one to account or be dependent on. You’re on your own, deciding just how much you want to get done today, and you’re really the only one driving things forward. This is why staying motivated can be hard.
It becomes too easy to drop into a loop of following the same routine every day. You may lose sight of your original purpose or goals. And the longer you go on staying this way, the more your energy and motivation decays away.
But fret not!
If you’re finding it hard to stay motivated and driven, then I’ve got two resources for you today to help give you a push:
THE ART OF DEADLINES:
Now, this is a fact of life.
If you want to earn a living, to succeed, then there are going to be deadlines that you can’t avoid.
They’re there to make sure you meet your targets and goals, and to get things accomplished no matter what career or job you’re in.
And sometimes, it’s easy to see deadlines in a negative light, especially when you’re pressed with time. Deadlines give you a constraint, and can become a source of pressure or stress.
But have you ever thought about how to proactively use them to your advantage?
DO A QUICK SELF RE-ALIGNMENT
Next, is to take 5 minutes to do a quick self-reflection. Remind yourself again, what matters to you, and what truly inspires you.
Sometimes when you’re so used to the daily motion of work, you forget the real reason why you started doing this. So taking some time every now and then, can help to give you instant motivation and assurance that you’re where you need to be.
What if you made it a small habit to self-reflect every 2 weeks?
What I’ve just shared with you are only 2 ways to stay motivated. There are lots of ways and I’ve got more skills to share, that will be especially helpful.
So stay tuned and motivated! And always visit www.exopmaster.com.ng every single day.
