Seriously speaking, the way this country is encroached by misfortunes of recent is exceedingly alarming, and it begs the question will there still be a country called Nigeria come 2023? Or will it just be a subject of historical story we tell our kids in the next generation to come?

One would ask if this the end of our highly populated beautiful country Nigeria or is this the end time Christian Missionaries have been preaching about for over one thousand years now coming to fulfillment gradually.
Okay let’s look at it together, first it was the terrorizing terrorist group Boko-Haram which became eminent back in 2009 with their kidnapping, bombing and Christian slaying activities in the North which of course are still very much active despite all efforts to eradicate them from the face of the earth, then the Indigenous People of Biafra commonly called “Biafrans” came with theirs; by assiduously trying to create a sovereign nation of their own.

Oh! Let’s not forgot the herdsmen who are in charge of destroying peoples crops with their cattle’s and killing innocent citizens and the alarming astronomical rate of kidnapping and ritualism as well as cyber fraud.
And now we are faced with the wave of vexatious xenophobic attacks by our fellow African brothers, it is so painful to see blacks killing blacks for reasons that annoyingly amounts to nothing. Now our dear brothers in South Africa live in utmost fear of their lives. People now dress up and set out in search of anybody who is not of same citizenship to end his/her life, it is so appalling I must say.

Already we have the people of Nigeria retaliating against the giant South African business empires here in Nigeria such as the “everywhere you go” popular telecommunication network known as MTN, the arguably biggest shopping mall in Nigeria known as Shoprite. And this calls for an immediate national attention before it gets totally out of control.

Although I must say the government is trying everything in its power to curb the issues but there seems to be little or no success regarding any of it, every year that passes by only points nearer to the devastation, destruction and division of our beautiful country.

And it begs the question once more will there be a country called Nigeria by 2023?

Let’s take a brief look at what the Bible says in Matthew 24:3 -24:14
“And as he sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers’ places.
All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.
And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

So I urge the President of our beautiful country Nigeria, President Buhari to revisit his priorities immediately and come to the aid of the cry of the people especially our brothers in South Africa before it is too late.
